Dillon Colvin Griffith Managing Director

ENTREPRENEUR | TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE | BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Dillon Colvin Griffith is a Guyanese entrepreneur whose professional career covers a wide range of fields, including specialized craftsmanship, the public service, laboratory operations, transport, management, and gold mining operations. Born on
April 18, 1982, in Georgetown, Guyana, he is 44 years old. Since the start of his career in 1996, he has acquired diverse experience through practical work, technical responsibilities, and leadership roles. His experience extends beyond a single sector and provides a solid foundation for pursuing new ventures.

Dillon began as an apprentice goldsmith, becoming familiar with working with gold at a very early age. In 1999, he moved to Botswana with his mother before returning to Guyana in 2001. This period abroad is part of a personal journey that led him to live and work in different environments.

Later in 2001, he began training with the Guyana Police Force, finishing at the top of his class.  He then served in the Special Section of the police. His police experience enriched his career path, anchoring his professional development in an environment where discipline, responsibility, and good judgment are essential.

In 2006, Dillon joined the Guyana Gold Board as a laboratory technician and held this position for eight years. This in-depth technical experience broadened his knowledge of gold beyond manual work and allowed him to gain experience within an established institution. He then became an independent gold miner, taking on the responsibilities associated with his business and developing his own operations.

Before joining Bless Minerals, Dillon was a director at Gardil Gold Mining Company. From 2020 to around 2025, he worked at Bless Minerals, starting as a driver and working his way up to a management position. This progression is an important part of his career: it connects practical operational work with increasing responsibility and enhanced management experience. Together, these roles have broadened his understanding of how businesses operate at different levels.  Today, Dillon is fully self-employed, with gold mining playing a central role in his activities.

Notably, he owns a four-inch dredge, participates in a partnership for an eight-inch dredge, and owns a crusher. These activities draw on his previous technical and operational experience while continuing his development as an independent entrepreneur.

His broader professional career reflects the diversity of experiences he has had. Over a career that began thirty years ago, Dillon has moved from apprenticeship to the public service, then to technical work, management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Each stage has given him a different perspective, combining practical knowledge, institutional experience, and a sense of responsibility at work. His evolution demonstrates his ability to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.

Dillon remains open to new projects, partnerships, and opportunities in various fields. He approaches this new stage with the benefit of solid experience gained over the years.  His biography is therefore the story of an entrepreneur with diverse experiences, whose current mining activities are part of a broader journey of learning, leadership, and ambition.
